In celebration of its 20th anniversary, leading fashion publication Harper’s BAZAAR collaborated with Italian super sports car producer, Automobili Lamborghini, to present a monumental and innovative virtual experience – 2021: Fashion Odyssey.
Decked in hexagonal and ‘Y’ light fixtures, the virtual fashion show featured models walking down a virtual runway in an eight-piece special capsule collection inspired by the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD and designed by Singapore’s renowned fashion designer, Lai Chan.
Blending the boundaries of high-tech supercars and fashion, the show was taken to new and otherworldly dimensions with a three-dimensional Extended Reality set. The details of these timeless pieces were also down to the tiniest details – from the choice of fabrics to the seamless tailoring that allows for ease of getting in and out of the car.
As the production partner for this monumental display, Hustle & Bustle incorporated a combination of various technological dimensions such as Extended Reality, animations, and 3D Modelling that left guests in awe as it brought the unique fashion pieces to life.
Besides being largely involved in the conceptualisation and storyboarding process, we spearheaded the development of production and other behind-the-scenes programmatics in the show.
The evening ended with a live conversation with Kenneth Goh, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, Francesco Scardaoni, Regional Director of Lamborghini APAC, and the genius behind the fashion creations, Lai Chan – where they shared their key takeaways from the event and how it had remarkably showcased a stylish juxtaposition between two different realities.
